Daily Living Support— at a glance

Four cards. Twelve bullets. No jargon.

Here’s what daily living support actually is, how we deliver it, what we refuse to do on your plan, and the three questions any good provider should be happy to answer.

What it is

In plain English.

  • Hands-on help with personal care, meals, cleaning, medication and getting out the door.
  • Delivered on your schedule — a few hours a week, overnight shifts, or full daily support.
  • Funded under Core Supports — Assistance with Daily Life in your NDIS plan.

What we do

How InLife delivers it.

  • Match you to a worker on language, culture and personality before the first shift.
  • Keep the same worker coming back, so you are not re-explaining yourself every visit.
  • Prepare meals that honour how your family actually eats — halal, vegetarian, Jain, cultural preferences included.

What we refuse to do

We will never. Not once. Not ever.

  • We won’t —Send a worker who cannot communicate with you or your loved one.
  • We won’t —Charge you for things that are not in your plan without checking with you first.
  • We won’t —Do it all for you when you want to build independence — we coach, we do not do.

These are promises — held even when no one is watching.

Before you sign with anyone

Ask us these questions.

  • What languages does your team speak and how do you match?
  • How much notice do I need to give for a schedule change?
  • What happens if my regular worker is sick?

At InLife, we believe that every person deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and empowered in their own home. Our Daily Living Support services are designed around this principle, providing hands-on assistance with the everyday tasks that matter most to you. Whether you need help getting ready in the morning, preparing nutritious meals, managing medications, or keeping your living space clean and organised, our trained support workers are here to make it happen — on your terms, at your pace.

We understand that personal care is exactly that: personal. That is why we take the time to get to know each participant before matching them with a support worker who is the right fit. Our team is trained in manual handling, infection control, and person-centred care planning. We work alongside participants, families, and allied health professionals to develop routines that promote independence rather than dependence. If you can do something yourself with a little guidance, we will support you to do just that.

Our daily living services cover a broad range of needs. Personal care includes bathing, showering, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance delivered with dignity and respect. Domestic assistance covers cleaning, laundry, and household management. Meal preparation is tailored to dietary requirements, cultural preferences, and nutritional goals — whether that means cooking together or having meals prepared and stored for the week. Medication support ensures scripts are followed safely, and our workers can assist with reminders and administration as outlined in your care plan.

For participants who require overnight or 24-hour support, InLife provides sleepover and active overnight services. Our overnight workers are experienced in responding to participant needs during the night, whether that involves repositioning, toileting, seizure management, or simply being present for reassurance. We also offer shared living arrangements for participants who want the social benefit of housemates while still receiving the support they need.

Cultural responsiveness is central to how we deliver daily living support. Our workforce reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, with support workers who speak over 10 languages and understand the cultural nuances that shape how people want to be cared for. Whether it is preparing meals that honour your cultural traditions, respecting religious practices around personal care, or simply communicating in a language you feel most comfortable with, InLife ensures your identity and preferences are respected in every interaction.

We also recognise that daily living support often extends beyond the home. Our support workers can accompany you to medical appointments, help with grocery shopping, assist with banking and errands, and support you to maintain the routines that keep your life running smoothly. For participants who are building toward greater independence, we incorporate skill development into every session — teaching cooking techniques, budgeting strategies, household organisation, and personal care routines that build confidence over time.

Consistency matters when someone is supporting you in your most personal moments. At InLife, we prioritise building small, dedicated teams for each participant so you see familiar faces rather than a revolving door of strangers. Our rostering system is designed around participant preferences, and we actively seek feedback to ensure the relationship between you and your support worker remains positive and productive. If a match is not working, we address it quickly and find someone who is a better fit.

For families and carers, our daily living support services also provide essential respite. Knowing that a trained, reliable support worker is looking after your loved one allows you to take a break, attend to your own needs, or simply rest. We keep families informed through regular communication and progress updates, so you always know how things are going and can be involved in decisions about care.

Every service agreement is built around your NDIS plan and goals. We work closely with support coordinators and plan managers to ensure our services are delivered within budget and aligned with your aspirations — whether that is building skills to live more independently, maintaining your current lifestyle, or transitioning to a new living arrangement. Our team can also help you understand how daily living support fits within your NDIS funding categories, including Core Supports — Assistance with Daily Life, to make sure you are getting the most out of your plan.

At InLife, daily living support is not about doing things for you; it is about walking beside you as you live the life you choose. We measure our success not by the tasks we complete but by the confidence, comfort, and independence our participants gain over time.
